As Chief Research Office, Robyn leads and unites our global Research and Guidance team, located across 8 different countries. Robyn is super focused, loves spinning plates, and “gets s**t done”!
Robyn is a powerful asset to System1 – tenacious, organised, and trustworthy. These qualities of excellence can be seen in the research produced by her team. It’s no surprise, therefore, that she has fast-tracked from Research Consultant to UK MD, then went global, and is now one of our valuable ‘chiefs’. Robyn is passionately loyal, supportive and proud of her team because, “they are the heart of everything we achieve.”
Robyn brings to her role 20+ years of expertise in communications, brand, and innovation research. Starting her research career at Kantar, Robyn joined System1 in 2006. In 2017 she spent a year with research tech startup Streetbees, as Commercial Director, but she returned to System1 a year later because she was excited by the new direction and motivated to make an impact. Now Robyn leads the System1 transition to digital products that provide first-class guidance.
Robyn returned to her roots in the countryside 10 years ago, where she lives with her husband and 2 children. It’s one of life's big surprises that she’s now a “soccer mum”! Following her son to his matches most weekends and supporting Gillingham football club (slightly less enjoyable!). Her daughter is a burst of energy, keeping Robyn on her toes, and they love to do crafty activities together. Robyn is at her most content when outside and in nature, and she loves to enjoy good food and wine with friends.
“I’m a ‘Boomeranger’ – one of the growing group of people who rejoined the business. When I returned I could see the System1 transformation: the professionalism of a larger company, with all the passion of a start-up, creating incredible world-leading products. It’s a hugely exciting place to be.”
Cheetos, '#IssoÉMuitoCheetos', Brazil, 4.3 Stars. It’s a wonderfully energetic sensory overload of singing and dancing.
I had a joint hen and stag do with Orlando Wood. We also got married on the same day… just not to each other! And there was the company team building trip to Rotterdam, subsequently known as “Hotterdam”, when our Dutch colleagues took us to a techno club and we danced on stage (yes, there are videos!!).
Top of the Pops dancer (see also entirely coincidental answer from Emma Cooper).
