Founder and President
Ever enthusiastic and always charismatic, JK founded System1 and embodies our culture. He’s always aiming to make work fun and deliver excellence that really makes a difference. As our Founder and President, JK steered System1 from a start-up in 2000 to where it is today. Shaking up traditional testing methods with fresh innovative thinking and our game-changing System1 methodologies.
Prior to System1, JK founded product development agency, Brand Genetics – employing a Darwinian approach to invention (mutations are the source of all progress and only the fittest survive). Before that, he was Planning Director at Publicis, which he describes as “Oh the usual glamorous MadMen stuff; drinking, carousing and the occasional bit of work”, and also worked at Unilever where he held a number of research and marketing positions.
Outside the world of marketing, JK loves “crazy dancing”, especially to ska and reggae. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he installed a Saturday Night Fever dance floor in our previous System1 office! When not dancing, you’ll find JK devouring an eclectic mix of books – science, politics, social, psychology, novels…. So, in summary, JK is not your typical Founder and President!
