Our opinion

The top-scoring Super Bowl 2019 commercial came from a tech brand in what’s been a great year for emotional advertising from that sector. Microsoft’s innovative Adaptive Controller is in the spotlight here, but the stars of the ad are the kids who play it. On a night celebrating competition, athletic prowess and mental toughness, Microsoft showed that those qualities can be found in places you might not expect – and that genuinely, everybody can play.
