About the Role 

This role will report into the Digital Marketing Manager (based in London) and support the growth of System1’s website traffic, YouTube traffic, email database, and social media following & engagement across LinkedIn and Instagram, with potential to explore other platforms.

This role requires a creative individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, keeps up with the latest trends across and beyond social media, and enjoys the various aspects of social media management.

What will you be doing? 

  • Social media management, including but not limited to: supporting with copywriting for weekly content schedules, post scheduling, daily social listening and commenting on key brand, agency and thought leader posts, and regular reporting/analysis of key metrics
  • Keeping up with the latest System1 research (like reports in partnership with TikTok, JCDecaux and WARC) so you can confidently comment on these topics on social media
  • Seeking out the latest marketing & social media industry trends, as well as new ad campaigns and innovations (product launches, new packaging, logos, slogans, brand characters, celebrity spokespeople, etc.) to ensure System1 can join the conversation in a timely manner
  • Supporting the distribution of System1’s email comms, including webinar/event e-blasts, monthly newsletters, weekly Ad Of The Week e-blasts and more
  • Helping to add content to the website, including blogs, weekly Ad Of The Week features, case studies, media coverage, new research reports, etc.
  • Uploading content to System1’s YouTube channel to drive views, including Ad Of The Week videos, Super Bowl ads and more

 

Examples of what this may look like:  

  • Monitoring for mentions of System1 on LinkedIn and responding to questions/comments, tying back to System1 methodology, products, research, etc.
  • Helping to write and schedule daily social media updates using HubSpot and sharing the top content with the wider business to drive internal engagement with published posts
  • Flagging any threats or trends that System1 should be aware of so that it can quickly engage with audiences on social media
  • Managing the “In the Press” page on the website by working closely with the US PR Manager to identify the top stories to promote
  • Adding Super Bowl, Christmas, Olympics or other high-profile commercials, product videos and webinars to the YouTube channel
  • Pulling digital metrics on a regular basis and joining monthly digital review calls to share the latest results with the wider Marketing team and suggest ideas to drive growth

 

You need to be this kind of person: 

  • Innovative Mindset & Intellectual Curiosity: You can think creatively and are willing to pursue big ideas, whether for LinkedIn, Instagram, email newsletters or the website. You’re fascinated by the advertising industry, behavioral science and System1’s industry-leading research produced in partnership with leading brands like TikTok, Pinterest, Effie Worldwide, WARC, JCDecaux and more
  • Creative Copy Writing – Solid writing, spelling and grammar skills are a must, as well as adherence to System1’s tone of voice and brand guidelines. We’re looking for someone who loves social media copywriting.
  • Execution-Oriented: Ability to move multiple projects forward at once, overcoming obstacles, and delivering results.
  • Analytical Skills: An interest in analyzing social, email and website data and market trends to inform decision-making and further improvements across digital channels.
  • Collaborative: Comfortable collaborating with people from around the global across the Marketing, Partnerships, Product and Sales teams, as well as executive-level leaders, in addition to external partners.

 

You need to have the following experience: 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or similar discipline, or equivalent years of industry experience in place of a formal degree.
  • At least 1 year in a digital marketing role, ideally with experience using platforms such as HubSpot, WordPress, LinkedIn and Instagram, or alternatives such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Salesforce, Mailchimp, etc.
  • You will also have excellent communication, copywriting and social media management skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines. We need someone who is very well organised and is excited to work in a global function.
