Aku Ankka, the Finnish Donald Duck, is one of the most beloved characters across Finland. Sanoma Media Finland and creative agency Bob the Robot wanted to remind readers in the digital age that they’re never too grown up to enjoy Aku Ankka.
They created the most emotionally dynamic ad of 2016 to put the magazine back on the map. Huge swings in emotion between surprise and happiness, to sadness, and back to happiness, translate into extremely high levels of Dynamism. Dynamism is correlated with sharing and click-through potential, so with such high levels of Dynamism, The Duck & The Boy achieved high sharing and click-through potential scores.
